The Robert Nelson Foundation has recently provided Love on 4 Paws with a grant of $5,000 to support their Animal Assisted Therapy program. The program provides therapy for the sick, shut ins, and those going through difficult life experiences. Thank you to the staff at Love on 4 Paws for making such a difference in people’s lives. The foundation is grateful to be able to help with such a great program.

The Robert Nelson Foundation recently gave the Oakland County Foster Closet a $5,000.00 grant to assist with their programming to help foster kids and families that support them. The foundation is proud and honored to be associated with such a great organization.

“We offer supportive services, supplies, and aid to children in the foster care system and to those in crises at no cost. It is our mission to foster hope, love, and Community one child at a time! So, what does that mean exactly? When our families qualify for our program, they will receive clothing, hygiene, shoes, coats, cribs, car seats, formula, and all of the essentials that children need, absolutely for FREE.”

Alta Community is a new nonprofit in Los Angeles designed to train individuals in the food industry, as well as to address food insecurity in the community. It also provides opportunities for entrepreneurs. Congratulations on this new venture. Ottawa County Department of Veterans Services is committed to providing accurate, efficient services and timely information to Veterans and their families. We will advocate for Veterans and cultivate purposeful community partnerships.

Staff assists veterans with the following:
Service-connected disability claims
Applying for VA non-service-connected pensions
Medical transportation
County and federal burial benefits
Retrieving military service records
Working with social services and government agencies
Information, referrals, and support services.

Since 1973, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has distributed more than 1.9 billion pounds of food. The Food Bank collects food from hundreds of resources. With the help of hundreds of thousands of volunteers annually and an agency network of mor than 600 partner agencies, we serve more than 900,000 people on a monthly basis. The Robert Nelson Foundation is honored to have recently given a $5,000.00 grant to assist the LA Regional Food Bank in their efforts to feed the hungry in Los Angeles.
