Focus

The Robert Nelson Foundation is committed to focusing on giving which honors the life of Mr. Nelson, his life’s passions, and his past historical giving.

The foundation has focused on four areas of giving to honor that commitment:

  • Honoring Mr. Nelson’s desire to help young people with their education, with a specific focus helping students pursue a career in the media/broadcasting field as well as career interests that focus on giving back to the community.
  • Helping the homeless, the hungry, and the economically disadvantaged citizens within communities
  • Helping the disabled population.
  • Honoring Mr. Nelson’s past historical pattern of giving to great causes within communities. This giving aligns with specific organizations that Mr. Nelson contributed to during his life, as well as to organizations that are doing great work to “Give and to Grow” and helping those who need it most within communities.

Education

Mr. Nelson had a desire to help young people with their education and to reach their goals and full potential. The board of directors of The Robert Nelson Foundation has made honoring this wish of Mr. Nelson a priority. From scholarships and fellowships at great universities, to helping great organizations in communities that are helping young people reach their full potential. The Robert Nelson foundation is honored to continue to look for new and creative ways to honor Mr. Nelson’s wishes.

Disabled Support

Mr. Nelson had a heart and passion to help those facing the challenges of a disability. The Robert Nelson Foundation has made a commitment to looking for great organizations that help the disabled population. The foundation will continue to look for creative ways within communities to assist those individuals who face the challenges of a disability.

Community Need

Mr. Nelson demonstrated a historical philosophy of helping those who need it the most within communities. The Robert Nelson Foundation is committed to continuing the giving focus of Mr. Nelson by supporting organizations that demonstrate compassion, service, excellence, and creativity that make the communities that they serve better places to live.
