The Robert Nelson Foundation is honored to have funded a project for the Kent Intermediate School District that will support families of students with special needs. The KISD “Parent Resource Center" will provide resources and support for families facing the challenges of raising a child with a disability. The parent resource center will collaborate with The Robert Nelson Disability Support Center to provide opportunities for parents and individuals to access resources, support, and guidance. The Robert Nelson Foundation is honored to support such a worthy cause that will have such a positive impact on so many families in West Michigan.

The Robert Nelson Foundation has provided Project Ropa with a gift of $10,000 for their work toward helping the homeless population of Los Angeles. Project Ropa is the only nonprofit organization of its kind in Los Angeles. The mission of Project Ropa is to restore dignity and empower the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles by providing clean clothes, hygiene essentials, and employment opportunities while reducing textile waste and minimizing the carbon footprint.

The Robert Nelson Foundation is proud to have given a $30,000 grant to Leadership Stockton Alumni Association’s C.H.A.N.G.E.S. campaign to support three projects championed by the 2023 class of emerging community leaders:

1. The Boys and Girls Club-Sierra Vista - mentoring and guiding youth,
2. The Children’s Home of Stockton-Catalyst Program - housing homeless youth, and
3. Haven of Peace - providing shelter for women and children experiencing crisis.
