Good Sheperd Center of Los Angeles
The Robert Nelson Foundation is honored to have presented a $5,000 grant to the Good Sheperd Center of Los Angeles to assist with their Drop-in Program. “Founded in 1984 as a program of Catholic Charities of Los Angeles (CCLA), GSC began as a response to the growing number of women experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. What started as a single site has grown into a multi‑program agency serving more than 1,500 women and children each year. Across all programs, our focus remains helping women and families secure permanent housing and long‑term stability. After a long closure due to COVID‑19, we are also reopening our Drop‑In Program, an essential point of access for women experiencing homelessness. The program will once again offer breakfast, lunch, food to go, hygiene products, and clothing. For the first time, women will also have access to on‑site case management, expanding our ability to meet immediate needs while helping women take their first steps toward stability.”
