The Robert Nelson Foundation recently gave a $5,000.00 gift to The Laundry Truck in Los Angeles for a special project that they have connecting with The Los Angeles Mission. The foundation has supported the LA Mission for a long time, and this is an exciting partnership to bring dignity and practical services to the homeless population in Los Angeles. The Robert Nelson Foundation is proud to contribute to such great causes.
The Robert Nelson Foundation has recently provided Love on 4 Paws with a grant of $5,000 to support their Animal Assisted Therapy program. The program provides therapy for the sick, shut ins, and those going through difficult life experiences. Thank you to the staff at Love on 4 Paws for making such a difference in people’s lives. The foundation is grateful to be able to help with such a great program.
The Robert Nelson Foundation recently gave the Oakland County Foster Closet a $5,000.00 grant to assist with their programming to help foster kids and families that support them. The foundation is proud and honored to be associated with such a great organization.
“We offer supportive services, supplies, and aid to children in the foster care system and to those in crises at no cost. It is our mission to foster hope, love, and Community one child at a time! So, what does that mean exactly? When our families qualify for our program, they will receive clothing, hygiene, shoes, coats, cribs, car seats, formula, and all of the essentials that children need, absolutely for FREE.”
The Robert Nelson Foundation is honored to have given a $5,000.00 gift to Alta Community. Alta Community is a new nonprofit in Los Angeles designed to train individuals in the food industry, as well as to address food insecurity in the community. It also provides opportunities for entrepreneurs. Congratulations on this new venture. The foundation is excited to see the impact of Alta Community and the great things that will come from these efforts.
Ottawa County Department of Veterans Services is committed to providing accurate, efficient services and timely information to Veterans and their families. We will advocate for Veterans and cultivate purposeful community partnerships.
Staff assists veterans with the following:
Service-connected disability claims
Applying for VA non-service-connected pensions
Medical transportation
County and federal burial benefits
Retrieving military service records
Working with social services and government agencies
Information, referrals, and support services.
