Project SEARCH

The Robert Nelson Foundation has recently given a gift of $10,000 and honored to support Project SEARCH of Los Angeles. PathPoint’s Project SEARCH job training program for young adults with developmental disabilities has grown to 11 sites throughout Central and Southern California and has served 211 individuals. The internationally acclaimed Project SEARCH model combines on the job training, with classroom instruction and career exploration, preparing interns for competitive employment after the yearlong program. Graduates transition to jobs in the community, with many finding long term success.  This donation continues Mr. Nelson’s legacy of compassion for the disabled population assisting them to reach their full potential.

The interns from the 20-21 class for all five LA Project SEARCH sites graduated in June.

All the interns received gifts, including business portfolios, lunch bags, and other items that they can use in their future employment.
